Primary Packaging

Custom Primary Packaging for Bottles, Jars, Tubes and Tins

Before a customer reads your label or opens your box, your product has already spent weeks inside one container. That container decides whether a serum stays stable, a cream stays clean and a snack stays crisp. Perfect Custom Boxes produces that inner layer to order: bottles, jars, tubes, tins, cans and trays, decorated with your branding and sized to your fill.

Primary, Secondary or Shipping: Which Layer Are You Buying?

Packaging works in layers, and knowing which one you need makes the quote process faster.

  • Primary packaging holds the product itself, such as the dropper bottle around a face oil or the jar around a body butter.
  • Secondary packaging presents or groups primary containers, such as the printed carton a bottle sits in on a shelf.
  • Shipping packaging gets everything to a store or a doorstep without damage.

This range is built around the first layer. It also includes protective mailers and sleeves, because brands shipping direct to customers usually order them at the same time.

Find Your Format by What You Are Packing

Start with the product, not the container. Each group below matches the formats in this range to the products they usually carry.

What you are packing Formats to look at Decide this first
Serums, oils, lotions, fragrances Serum, glass, lotion, plastic, roll-on and perfume bottles Dropper, pump or roller
Creams, balms, concealers Cream, plastic and glass jars, cosmetic containers, lip balm and concealer tubes Jar or tube, and opening width
Food and dry goods Food storage containers, composite cans, metal tins How often it will be reopened
Single-serve drinks and portions Disposable glass, disposable boxes, juice boxes Portion size per serving
Kits, sets and fragile items PET trays, vacuum formed trays How many pieces sit in one tray
Direct-to-customer orders Bubble mailers, poly bubble mailers, bubble sleeves, bubble bags How fragile the inner container is

Serums, Oils, Lotions and Fragrances

Thin and medium-weight liquids need a closure that controls the pour. Choose from Serum Bottles, Clear Glass Bottles, Lotion Bottles, Plastic Bottles, Roll On Bottles and Perfume Bottles. Decide early whether customers will dose with a dropper, a pump or a roller, since that drives the neck and cap choice.

Creams, Balms and Concealers

Thicker formulas need a wide opening or a squeeze-and-twist format. Cream Jars, Plastic Jars, Glass Jars and Cosmetic Containers suit scoopable products. Lip Balm Tubes and Concealer Tubes suit stick and applicator products carried in a bag or pocket.

Food, Dry Goods and Pantry Items

For products opened again and again, look at Food Storage Containers, Composite Cans, Metal Tins and Tins Packaging Boxes. Tins and cans often stay on a customer's shelf after the product is gone, which keeps your logo in view.

Single-Serve and Foodservice

Disposable Glass, Disposable Boxes and Juice Boxes cover drinks and portions meant for one use, such as cafe service, events and grab-and-go retail.

Trays and Inserts

Plastic PET Trays and Vacuum Formed Trays hold items in fixed positions, which stops sets, kits and fragile pieces from shifting.

Protective Mailers for Direct Shipping

Poly Bubble Mailers, Bubble Mailers, Bubble Sleeves and Bubble Bags add a cushioned layer for orders sent straight to customers.

Glass, Plastic, Metal or Film: Picking the Right Material

Every material solves one problem and creates another. The table shows where each one earns its place and what to plan around.

Material Best for Watch for
Clear glass Serums, fragrances Weight and breakage
Amber glass Light-sensitive oils Hides product colour
PET plastic Clear bottles, lotions Some oils and solvents
HDPE plastic Lotions, shampoos Not transparent
Metal tins Balms, mints, tea Inner coating for food
Composite cans Dry foods, tea Dry contents only

Protective Features to Specify Up Front

These add-ons are easy to include at quote stage and hard to add later.

  • Tamper-evident seals show customers the product has not been opened. In the US, many over-the-counter drug products must carry tamper-evident packaging.
  • Child-resistant caps are needed for some medicines and household chemicals. If your product is regulated, ask for the closure's test documentation.
  • UV-blocking tint slows light damage for formulas that change colour or potency under light.
  • Leak-proof induction liners bond to the bottle rim under heat, sealing liquids in transit until the customer peels them away.
  • Moisture barriers keep humidity away from powders, dry foods and moisture-sensitive ingredients.

Putting Your Brand on the Container

You can decorate the container itself or apply a printed label. The right route depends on how many products share one container design.

  • Direct screen printing puts ink straight onto glass or plastic. There is no label edge to peel, and it works best when one design runs across the whole order.
  • Waterproof matte or gloss labels suit ranges where one bottle carries several scents or formulas. Each variant gets its own label while the container stays the same.
  • Hot foil stamping adds a metallic accent to a logo or product name.
  • Embossed logos give a raised mark customers can feel.

Leave room for ingredient lists, net contents and warnings. Our design team can lay this out for you, but the wording itself should come from you or your compliance advisor.

Tell Us What Goes Inside

A good container starts with the product, not a catalogue. Share what you are packing, how much of it, and how your customer will use it. We will come back with a container, closure and finish matched to it, plus a proof you can check before anything is printed.
